Interacting color strings as the origin of the liquid behavior of the quark-gluon plasma

چکیده
We study the radial distribution function of color sources (strings) formed in hadronic collisions and requirements to obtain a liquid. As repulsive interaction is needed, we incorporate concentric core strings as well probability that string allows core-core overlaps. find systems where difference between gas-liquid confined-deconfined phase transition temperatures small. This explains experimentally observed liquid behavior quark-gluon plasma above temperature.

The Quark-Gluon-Plasma Liquid
The quark-gluon plasma close to the critical temperature is a strongly interacting system. Using strongly coupled, classical, non-relativistic plasmas as an analogy, we argue that the quark-gluon plasma is in the liquid phase.
